Many factors contribute to suicide. Stigma prevents people from seeking help. We want to change that.

The SAFE (Suicide Awareness for Everyone) Task Force of Allegheny County aims to:

Bring awareness to and break the stigma of death by suicide in the County.

Facilitate and provide connections to trainings as well as to community and national resources.

Identify and support individuals most at risk of death by suicide.

Provide specific culturally sensitive support, resources and trainings for individuals and families of all communities.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, September 4-10th is National Suicide Prevention Week, and September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day.

Suicide Prevention Alliance will be meeting at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg at 11:30AM on September 19th to raise awareness of suicide and the importance of suicide prevention to the attention of PA legislators.
